BKL Scope Mounts

Deben Group are now distributing BKL Technologies rimfire and airgun scope mounts in the UK. Proudly proclaiming ‘Made in USA’ on each box, the range includes double and single mounts with 1” or 30mm rings and single or double screw straps, reach forward mounts, adjustable mounts, single and double riser rails and swing out spirit levels.

These BKL competition grade mounts and accessories are available to fit 11mm or 3/8” on many different types of airgun and rimfire rifle – there are even Weaver to rail adaptors available separately. BKL mounts are compatible with dovetail rails as fitted by air rifle manufacturers such as Air Arms, AirForce, Beeman, Benjamin, BSA, Crosman, Daystate, Diana, Gamo and Webley, plus many of the popular rimfire manufacturers including Anschütz, CZ, Feinwerkbau, Marlin, Remington, Savage, Suhl etc.

All the mounts and accessories are made of aluminium with either a matt black or satin ‘stainless’ look finish. The mounts feature BKL’s Auto Centering clamping system for quick and precise installation and each comes with instructions and the necessary Allen key. Unlike conventional mounts which have a base constructed in two halves, BKL use a sprung, single piece design, relying on a perfect fit with the dovetail. A central pin is removed, and by screwing it into the reverse side, the dovetails are effectively forced apart until the desired fit is achieved. The screw can then be used to tighten the base.

These mounts look good, and the self-aligning clamping feature really seems to work well, drawing both ‘legs’ equally as the mounting screws are tightened. We will be looking at these mounts in more close detail over the coming year, but first impressions are good. Highly robust and precisely machined, these mounts look like a sound investment.
