Extrema Ratio
The Ontos (from the Greek language “the thing”) is a pure field knife; solid and heavy but still compact. The blade is in a semi-tanto style, unusually with a portion of the spine being serrated to offer a separate sharp edge for quick cutting of fibrous materials.
Even in an emergency situation, when heavy equipment may need to be abandoned, the Ontos will still be easy to carry thanks to its M.O.L.L.E. compatible nylon side sheath.
A survival kit is also carried in a pocket which is fastened to the nylon sheath by a M.O.L.L.E. system, making the Ontos a true survival tool. The comprehensive kit includes; a fluorescent stick (lasting for 12 hours), diamond knife sharpener, water bag, nylon cord, button compass, candle, flint & striker, fishing kit, mini multi-tool, matches, sewing kit, purification tablets, single edge razor, signalling mirror, whistle, snare wire, wire saw, pencil, and survival instructions.
The Ontos blade steel is Bohler N690 (58HRC) with a MIL-C-13924 black coating and the handle is Forprene (NATO Mil-Spec). The blade length of 165mm, blade thickness of 6.3mm, and an overall length of 298mm. The knife weighs 400g on its own and the total weight of the kit is 1000g.

this is very robust kit , i have a shrapnel and i think it would survive the fires of hell !
