Jack Pyke boot bag and knife pouch

Jack Pyke boot bag and knife pouch

Jack Pyke have recently added yet more items to their rapidly growing range of accessories for the shooting market. These latest items, a boot bag and a knife pouch, may not be the most glamorous of kit, but are very practical and are sure to be popular.  Both items are available in Jack Pyke’s renowned English Oak Camo on a proofed 600d Cordura texturised nylon fabric, in plain olive green 600d Cordura, or in either brown or green “Duotex” fabric, giving a wide choice of looks.

The boot bag, at approximately 48 x 34 x 25cm is big enough to take a pair of wellies or high leg boots with ease. It is contoured to take up minimal room in a car boot and has a long, 2-way central double-ended tough coil zip for ease of access.  The base of the bag has a semi-rigid reinforcing panel inside and four external feet to save wear and tear, while the bag’s main seams are piped in black for smart and durable good looks and the soft and comfortable webbing carry-handle is strongly sewn onto reinforcing bands of matching webbing on the side of the bag for extra strength.

So, after a muddy day out in the fields and woods, you can return to your vehicle, change out of your filthy footwear and into clean shoes, placing said filthy footwear into your Jack Pyke Boot Bag, which then does a smart job of keeping the mud and crud off your vehicle’s upholstery.  Back home you can, after cleaning your boots of course, simply rinse out the boot bag (which will soon dry) and fold it away ready for your next trip.

The Knife Pouch is also a simple but effective piece of kit, measuring approximately 12 x 3.5cm and is sized to take popular sizes of folding knives and multi-tools.  The pouch has a pleated base, a Velcro fastened flap closure, webbing bound edges and belt loops that allow it to be worn either horizontally or vertically on your belt for comfort and convenience.

Like the rest of the Jack Pyke Range, both the Boot Bag and Knife Pouch are well-made bits of kit that should last well and are sensibly priced. Neither item is super glamorous, but both are tough, practical bits of kit, built for a job, and well designed. Available in four different finishes, the boot bag costs around £12.50, and the knife pouch around £2.50, so neither will break the bank!
