World Legal?

story continues below...

Stating that a knife is World Legal is a big claim in any language but it actually boils down to two things: limited blade length (usually under three inches) and a folding slip-joint construction, that is, no separate locking mechanism that has to be released by a latch, button, lever or any other device to shut the blade. Instead you manually pull the blade open with your fingers and then, when you’re finished using it you push it back the same way to close it.

Lansky have done their homework and claim that this knife is legal in 156 countries but add the proviso “Contact your local government for the most recent regulations”; this wise advice because laws can change. Also, no knife is truly regarded as ‘world legal’ as you will find in any airport or government building. In the UK you should be okay providing you use common sense both in where and what situation you intend to carry and use the knife, and that you can provide good reason for having it in your possession if you are challenged by the police or other authorities.

Build and Features

The unusually shaped blade is made of 0.3cm thick 440C Stainless Steel and is approximately 7cm (2¾ inches) long and 4cm (about 1 9/16 inches) at its widest point. Length when closed is 11.2cm (4 3/8 inches) and open it has a length of 17.8cm (7 inches). Overall this is quite a substantial pocket knife especially when you consider the weight of 170g (6oz).
