Sav Shotpods

Now here’s a clever idea, especially if you’ve ever been out in the field and found that a shooting opportunity presents itself, but you are not carrying the load to get the job done. For instance, if you are walking up loaded with lead for whatever presents itself, and you get a chance at wildfowl – which requires non-lead shot in many areas – or if you are in a hide waiting for pigeons and a fox wanders into range… you need a quick and efficient way to carry an appropriate load, and be able to lay your hands on it fast, before the opportunity is gone. If so then Sav Shotpods may be just the thing.

The Shotpod aims to give you that shooting opportunity, and like many useful devices it comes from a simple idea. The Shotpod is just a tube internally divided half way down by a magnetic plate. This allows you to put a shotgun cartridge case in head first, both top and bottom, where they will be held securely in place until you need them. The tube is gripped in a leather sheath with a 1.5” belt loop.

When in place the cartridges really are firmly restrained – I even took it off the belt and tried to shake the cartridges loose, but they held firm. Yet a direct pull on the cartridge when needed will see it come out of the holder easily. Cartridges from 12 bore down to .410 will all fit, and even the smallest won’t ‘come loose’.
