Sometimes you want the convenience of a jacket (lots of pockets) without the warmth or bulk of a jacket – which is where the smart-looking Seeland Thornhill Waistcoat can come in. Made with a lightweight wind and waterproof, yet breathable Seetex membrane set between a textured nylon outer and a polyester mesh lining, this garment is loaded with features!
There are 2 front cargo pockets with snap-closed flap covers that can be fixed open by snapping them to a strap from the 2 fleece-lined, chest level hand-warmer pockets, while under the flap of the right hand cargo pocket there is a semi-concealed zip-closed “wipe clean” fabric-lined pocket for dog treats etc. Inside the jacket there are two huge zip-closed lower front pockets and a left chest pocket with a zip closure.
There are locking drawcords at the hem (side mounted adjusters), waist and in the fleece-lined collar (rear adjuster) and the full-length 2-way zip has a press stud closed storm flap and a face protector. The yoke and lower body are in mid brown and the rest of the waistcoat is Earth with Olive internal pockets.
There are D-rings for accessories at each side of the waist and, in the centre of the back is a very useful, Olive coloured, dog-training pouch of 3 locking drawcord closed sections, each with drain eyelets, which zips off for quick and easy washing - ideal for training dummies, leads and other items that would soon spread mud, slime, slobber etc over a normal jacket. This pouch feature makes the Thornhill extremely practical and suitable for dog training, retrieving, beating, picking up, shooting - or even just country walking and going shopping!
The Seeland Thornhill Waistcoat is available in sizes S-XXXL and costs around £79.99.
