Weaver Grand Slam Scope

Just one amongst a comprehensive range of US optics back in the UK thanks to Edgar Brothers, Weaver’s Grand Slam 1.5 – 5 X 32WA is an excellent compact scope for short/medium range work with carbine-sized air rifles. The wide field of view allows quick target acquisition at short ranges so hunters will find it very useful! The low profile ¼” MOA turrets are now equipped with the Micro-Trac 4 Point Adjustment System, some claim it is one of the most reliable mechanisms in the industry. The Dual-X, glass-etched reticle proves its worth in low-light conditions even though it’s non-illuminating.  In other words the lens quality and coatings are quite frankly on a par with any top end Euro option to give a sight picture so clear and bright. I’ve owned an original Grand Slam for many a moon now and the new versions do seem better in many ways, from the smoother operation of zoom ring to the clarity

Also improved is the solid secure movement of the low profile turret adjusters.  These bar-type, finger-friendly adjusters offer 72 clicks per turn and give 6 full rotations for both windage and elevation. If using an air rifle or centrefire this scope will not run out of adjustment and it continually shows why it’s a favourite for close to medium range work.

The eye-bell offers a fast-focus system as opposed to the more common lock ring favoured by many US manufactures. The zoom ring is a large, slotted rubber wrap that flares out from the base and is easy to use, even with gloves on! The 1” body shows a one-piece tube making it tough and rigid.
