Lyalvale Express English Sporter - Budget Clay Shotgun Cartridges

Lyalvale Express English Sporter - Budget Clay Shotgun Cartridges

Like the Kent this cartridge is in constant production and though only launched comparatively recently has taken a big chunk of the market, especially amongst those where price is a major consideration. It is fairly clean burning and recoil is certainly manageable whilst patterns are good at this price point.

Compares well with its peers

  • Hi
I bought 50 cartridges the other day to try out on the local clay shooting ground, had been told they were good value for money and as i am only an average shot thought i try them out,i was very pleased with how they preformed and i was breaking clays at 80 yards which is great, shot about the same score for me and will be going back to shop to buy a 1000 hope the price stays the same and am looking foward to shooting them.also i noticed the barrels were just as clean as before.

  • I tried 250 of these & found them clean & average recoil.
My scores where about the same as normal.
I actually quite like these & found them very good value, so much so i bought a 1000.
I noticed on Lyavales website these use Nobel powder not sure if this is new to the English sporter cartridges or have always used this powder. My barrels where very clean.
The biggest culprit of dirty barrels is damp cartridges. The tell tale sign is a yellow residue of burnt powder.
All in all a very good budget cartridge.
And if your new to the sport why miss with expensive lead shot ?
Buy budget & shoot more smile

  • these cartridges are the worst on the market, 2nd worst are ELEY 1st. Lyalvile english sporter are abrupt, dirty, hard on the shoulder (not suitable for slender built people / OAPs & injured people) weak at distance and basically not worth buying. avoid them. the serious clayer will not have anything to do with them.
