London gunmaker John Rigby & Co. has extended their range of knives to include an exquisite mammoth ivory and damascus steel hunting knife, made in England. The pinnacle of Rigby’s knife range, it features a handle handcrafted from the ivory of the now extinct mammoth. The indulgent chocolate-brown ivory looks almost marble- like with light and darker hues swirling together, making each item utterly unique.
The rare ivory is attached to a steel pommel, finished with a Damascus steel blade. The blade takes its distinct wavy pattern from hammerwelding strips of steel and iron. Engraved on one side of the blade is a Rigby ‘double R’ logo, while the other features the knife’s own serial number.
The knife comes with a buttery leather sheath in a deep, rich coffee colour, perfectly paired to the ivory handle. The sheath is also embossed with the ‘double R’ logo. Both items will be presented in a custom-made Rigby box. The knife is available online for £1,195. To view the full range of knives and accessories, visit the Rigby online store.
