The Game Fair opens doors for British clothing brands wanting to break into Europe
  • The Game Fair has joined forces with the Department for International Trade to offer fledgling British country clothing brands an exclusive bursary of up to £900 to exhibit at leading international trade show, IWA OutdoorClassics.

  • The four-day show, which is being held Friday 3 to Monday 6 March 2017 in Germany, focusses exclusively on the hunting, shooting and firearms industry and is the ideal platform for British brands wanting to break into Europe. The bursary will go towards exhibition space in The Game Fair Pavilion, leaving as little as £1,426 left for brands to contribute. The bursary is only available for 15 brands, and to be eligible they must be new to exporting. Six places remain with exhibitors already including Game Bird Clothing and Filthy Weather.

  • James Gower, The Game Fair Managing Director said: “We are privileged to work in partnership with The Department for International Trade to facilitate the international exposure of new British fashion designers and brands. The Game Fair looks to open up foreign markets to countryside brands and manufacturers who have not previously exported or exhibited internationally, whilst assisting their journey to do so. This activity fits with The Game Fair’s commitment to supporting industry and promoting our largely British and iconic customer base to International markets.”

  • Jim James, Senior International Trade Adviser for the Government’s Department of International Trade in London, added: “The Department for International Trade is committed to supporting UK companies’ drive to grow export and are therefore pleased to be working in partnership with The Game Fair in this exciting initiative. We are confident in The Game Fair’s ability to act as a springboard for fledgling brands, creating opportunities to champion British creative and fashion excellence overseas. A strong UK presence at international trade events, such as IWA at Nuremburg, is imperative for the future of British industry, we are delighted that Britain and The Game Fair team will be leading the way.”
