Whitby Kent Multi Purpose Knife

Whitby’s range of Kent EDC (Every Day Carry) knives includes several really nice, single-bladed, non-locking folders in a range of styles and colours. They are all well made and are supplied in a high-quality presentation-style box.

The Kent+ is the latest addition to the range, and it offers something a bit different. The multi-tool inspired design includes a 2.25” 12CR27 steel blade with a finger hole for easy opening, a flat head screwdriver, scissors and a Phillips screwdriver with bottle opener. These are the most basic tools you might expect on a multi-tool, and they are probably the ones that are used most often. Whitby has kept the Kent+ very small and compact, like the rest of the knives in the range, ensuring it is not cluttered with loads of tools that would go unused.

Available with a variety of handles, including Olive wood and 2-tone designs, the Kent+ looks very nice, and all of the tools function well. At 8.75cm closed, and weighing just 108-grams, this very compact tool takes up almost no room in your pocket. At less than £30, it’s great value and makes a great ‘minimalist’ carry.
