On very first inspection, the Jack Pyke Ashcombe Neoprene Wellington Boots stand out due to their very stylish appearance and as for build are structured so that virtually all the top two-thirds of the boot are made of a high-quality dark green Neoprene. The other third of the boot’s durable rubber is quite cleverly configured so that proportionate strengthening sections rise up at the front and rear plus a full-length strip reaches up from both areas to the very top to give extra support to the much more forgiving upper. An important specification to note here is that the boot opening has an approximate circumference of 18½-inches, but due to the stretch nature of Neoprene as a material this will extend at least another inch or so.
Another very redeeming facet of the boots’ design is the tough rubber lower section gives way to the very flexible Neoprene upper at just the right point to allow a superb level of flexibility without compromising on protection from the elements or terrain. They stand 15¾-inches high from the top to the underside of the company termed High Grip rubber sole. This outsole consisting of generously sized ridged shaped lugs surrounded on all sides including front and rear by large cleats with a chunky blocky appearance. They also have removal lugs at the heel for ease of exit, and the quality of rubber used is durable, strong and is of a hunter friendly matt finish light green colour to prevent quarry alerting shine.
The Jack Pyke Ashcombe Neoprene Wellington Boot are a very well-designed option that ideally complements completes the Ashcombe footwear range.
