Le Chameau , manufacturer of premium quality country footwear, has joined forces with Michelin, the leading tyre manufacturer, to create an impressive new wellington boot – the Ceres.
Designed for agricultural professionals in particular, the sole of the boot shares in common many of the benefits of the market leading new Michelin tyre, the ‘Ultraflex’. As the name suggests this new sole is not only highly flexible but also extremely durable. The new rubber compound has been specially formulated to withstand heavy tractor and quad bike usage.
The sole’s tread, mirrors that of the Ultraflex tyre, which has been designed to better distribute weight over a greater surface area, thus reducing the amount the boot sinks into the ground, ultimately resulting in less crop damage. The sole is also self-cleaning, expelling mud automatically when in use.
The Ceres boot is lined with a comfortable Jersey cotton lining and a Neoprene version will be available in the autumn.
