Incorporated in 1965 by the late Geoffrey Brown, Viking Arms Ltd began its principal activity of the wholesale distribution of arms, ammunition and related products by being the first distributor for Sturm, Ruger & Co.
Viking is very proud to have maintained such a long and successful relationship and remain their sole UK distributor today.
The importance of forging such strong and trusted relationships has remained at the forefront of VIKING'S business philosophy. Over forty years of experience in the distribution of sporting goods to the hunting, fishing and shooting market ensures that VIKING is well‐known and respected within the industry for its market knowledge and expertise.
The company’s territory covers the whole of the United Kingdom and Ireland, with over 2000 retail accounts within the market sector.
In 1982 the company moved to its own purpose built premises on the New York Industrial Estate, centrally located within the U.K.
The premises serve as the ideal distribution point being only 20 minutes away from Leeds & Bradford International Airport.
The company continues to grow and now operates in three divisions:
Viking Arms serving the shooting sports industry;
Viking Outdoor serving the general outdoor sports and leisure industry.
Viking Arms Police and Military Division.
