Hatsan launches new multi-shot underlever air rifle: the Proxima

Award-winning Turkish gunmaker Hatsan has launched a new Vortex gas piston-powered air rifle, the Proxima. Exclusively distributed in the UK by Edgar Brothers, the repeater air rifle comes in three calibres: .177, .22 and .25, with capacity for 14, 12 and 10 shots respectively. Powered by the Vortex gas piston, the air rifle is ideal for both target shooting and pest control. Hatsan’s Quattro trigger comes as standard on the Proxima, offering a two-stage fully adjustable Match gold-plated trigger. The Proxima also comes with two detachable clip magazines and, with its proprietary Shock Absorber System, vibration is significantly reduced. The safety is manual, with an automatic cocking safety also integrated. The fixed barrel underlever cocking system is smooth and easy to use, and the air rifle comes with an anti-bear-trap cocking arm safety.

With genuine Turkish walnut forming the ambidextrous stock, Hatsan has certainly made the Proxima an attractive air rifle, without compromising on practicality. The stock comes with an elevation adjustable comb, and the thumbhole shape features a truly ergonomic pistol grip. Three stock spacers are also provided to ensure a perfect fit from Hatsan’s typically excellent stock. Equipped with sling swivels, the Proxima has a hooded front sight with Truglo fibre optics, and a micro-adjustable rear sight for both windage and elevation adjustments, also with the Truglo fibre optics. A Picatinny rail mount allows for scopes to be easily fitted and the precision rifled steel barrel offers excellent accurary, while the black chrome finish on both barrel and cylinder ensures the maximum resistance to corrosion.
