Badger Tac 2

You will probably be familiar with the original BadgerTac, which has been open since 2009 over in Aylesbury, Oxfordshire but BadgerTac 2 is an entirely different animal, and is located in the south east of Essex on Canvey Island. Owned by James Badura this store stocks airsoft assault rifles, sniper rifles, SMGs, pistols and support weapons from companies such as Kings Arms, SRC, G&P, Cybergun, Umarex and others, plus lots of accessories and tactical kit. They also have the added benefit of being able to stock exchange with the original BadgerTac, so there is pretty much nothing that these guys cannot get hold of.

Twinned with BadgerTac, both stores spend a lot of time and effort attending shows each year with a presence at the Airsoft Arms Fair, War & Peace Show AND the British Shooting Show how do they find time to do anything else? The atmosphere in the shop is great, everyone there is extremely knowlegable about Airsoft and seemed genuinely concerned about finding the right kit for each customer.

As a cheeky bonus the kettle is always on and there is a nice big sofa – always a good thing when you’re getting on a bit! One thing that I noticed whilst in the store was that there were several Help the Hero’s charity offers and wristbands available – always nice to see people putting something back in for our troops.

BadgerTac 2 is also affiliated with the Dragons Lair (01708 765036 or 07703 530189), a skirmishing site in Essex run by Ray Caine which was originally a Paintball site, but has now seen the light and defected over to focus entirely on Airsoft and offers wonderful game days at a very reasonable price.

In short BadgerTac 2 is a great place to visit, you can hang out, have a gossip and at the end of it all take home some fabulous new kit what could be better?
