This example has the desirable dual coded receiver of “bcd/ar” indicating that rifle has a receiver manufactured at the Gustloff factory in Weimar, and then sent to the Mauser Werke factory in Borsigwalde for final assembly into a K98 rifle. The top of the receiver is marked with the eagle 26 Waffenamt proof over “bcd/ar” over “42” for the year of manufacture, with the side wall having the standard “Mod. 98” markings. The left rear side of the barrel has a single firing proof, and the sight base is not proofed or numbered. This rifle has the correct all milled barrel bands, trigger guard and floor plate without any additional proof marks. The barrel has the standard inverted “V” front sight blade with the tangent rear sight graduated from 1-20 (100-2000) meters.
THIS RIFLE IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION, HAS A VERY GOOD SHOOTING BORE, THERE IS MINOR CHAMBER WEAR BUT STILL VERY SHOOTABLE,, THESE RIFLES ARE VERY RARE TO FIND
ESPECIALLY IN THIS CONDITION. RIFLE HAS ALL MATCHING NUMBERS
