Agincourt 1415; A Tourist’s Guide to the Campaign

Agincourt 1415; A Tourist’s Guide to the Campaign

story continues below...

Visiting battlefields has never been more popular than it is at present. The numbers of visitors to battlefields always increase during a special anniversary and this year it is 600 years since the English victory over the French at Agincourt. One might think there is little left to see which is connected to the campaign after such a long time, but this work proves just how wrong one can be. Castles and other buildings still remain to be seen and, of course, the battlefields themselves, most of which are farmland today.

This is a battlefield guide of the highest order with maps, grid references for GPS and modern photography, all of which will direct the visitor to the exact spot where events unfolded. The book is divided into various tours with lots of helpful tips and a very useful list of museums and associated website. Whether by car, bicycle or on foot, if you have never considered visiting Medieval battle sites worth the effort, this book will change your mind.
