The author, now a Brigadier, was commissioned into the Staffords in 1976 and during his career spanning 23 years he saw extensive service and was wounded during the First Gulf War. His work outlines the structure of today’s army, its role and the weapons and equipment it uses to fulfil its commitment.
Modern British army equipment is being collected today and this work will be something of a guideline to those interested in the kit mentioned here. It is a good general read but the most benefit will be gained by modellers who will enjoy the artwork detail and photographs.
