Pebble Island

The Falklands War 1982 is a conflict which is in a sort of limbo-like state, with some people still not quite sure if it is true because it was such an incredible enterprise.

This work was first published in 2007, in time for the 25th anniversary, and this reprint is released for the 35th anniversary. In that respect, the war is not so far off that it is not known about and yet not so recent as to be familiar. Travel companies have been taking tours to the Falklands to see the battlegrounds and this title would be useful for such a trip. Covering the fighting on Pebble Island, the authors explain each phase and what was involved, including the air power, logistics and troops on the ground. The human endeavour would test the most physically strong and this, together with all the technical detail, is a well-rounded chapter of history.
