The BKL one-inch rings are a single strap mount and have the classic BKL design of a single piece base, which is a near perfect fit over an 11mm dovetail rail. If it comes up a bit tight, then the mount can be adjusted, by removing the base screw, then screwing it into the spacer hole from the other side. This gently forces the jaws apart. Slide the mounts onto the rails and tighten in the normal way. The matt black finish is smart and practical, and the level of machining is equally impressive. Available in standard height or a High version, indicated by the H suffix in the model name, these mounts are perfect for precise and true scope mounting, and with that, peace of mind.

Shoot over a rolling landscape, and the pitfalls of mounting a rifle incorrectly, canted at an angle in the shoulder, are soon highlighted. This error at the shoulder can set up a surprising degree of shot deviation down range, yet the phenomenon of ‘canting is so easily remedied, with the use a scope mounted spirit level. The BKL 12-Way Folding Scope Levels come in two sizes to fit scopes with a 1-inch tube, or a 30mm body tube.

The design sees a spirit level bubble mounted on a swing-out arm, fixed to the ring mount. The split ring is unscrewed and fixed around the scope in the normal way and gently tightened into position, and carefully set, to provide a true reading of level ground thereafter. BKL call it ‘12-Way’, due to the way the swing out bubble can be simply unscrewed and remounted from different fixing positions, giving plenty of options as to where the bubble appears.
