UTG Ruger 10/22 Picatinny Rail

The scope rail that comes with Ruger’s famous 10/22 semi-auto rimfire does the job, as it allows the use of both 11mm and Weaver style rings; however, due to its construction, it’s not always easy to fit a lot of mounts and accessories that use the standard ‘Picatinny’ fitment. The Picatinny rail is pretty much industry standard these days and any accessory/rail combinations should (in theory at least) fit without issue but mounts with double locking bars often don’t fit the Ruger rail, due to the spacing of the slots.

There are many alternatives to the standard Ruger rail available but the one made by UTG Pro in the US is one of best I’ve seen and it’s very good value for money too! It’s precision-machined from premium 6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminium, with a hard coat black anodised finish. The rail is 4.67-inches long with 11 slots to engage with scope rings or the underside of optical sights and is contoured perfectly to fit to the Ruger’s receiver. The rail has been relieved along its length to reduce weight. Fitting the rail is simple; remove the standard rail and fix the new UTG item with the screws supplied –UTG even supply a spare, which is thoughtful.

The UTG Ruger 10/22 Picatinny Rail is well designed and made, does exactly what it’s designed to do and won’t break the bank!
