Ogdens Tactical 50 Gun Slip

There is quite a selection of drag bags on the market these days and Ogden’s have put a lot of time and effort developing this tactical gun slip for the precision shooter while listening to their requirements. The construction of this slip consists of military spec 1000d Cordura, which is the go to material for this kind of case as it is rugged, durable and offers excellent durability. The case itself is pretty significant in size, measuring 50-inches in length, 12-inches in depth and four-inches in height. There is ample room for my Mossberg MVP with a 24-inch barrel. With all the attachments such as scope, bipod, monopod etc. The moderator still has to be taken off though but that’s not a problem.

On the outside of the case is the front pouch pocket, which is fastened with the same heavy duty waterproof zips and heavy duty pullers used for the rifle compartment. The pouch measures 18 x 10-inches wide and has front and internal zipped sections, as well as the main compartment, which includes four sections that you could slip say an AR15 mag into, all very useful! As you would expect there are shoulder straps on the back that can be repositioned to your preference. There is also a main carrying handle, which can be fastened with a Velcro grip pad.

Inside job

Inside the bag, on one side, you will find rifle adjustable positioning straps with quick release buckles and a butt catcher at either end. A nice feature is a compartment along the spine of the case, where you can store your cleaning rod as well.

On the opposite side there is a wide, soft Velcro strip running the full length of the case. This strip can be used to position two individual pouch pockets, which measure 6- x 6-inches, as well as one 11- x 11-inches zipped clear range wallet for paperwork etc. Padding/protection consists of hard cell outer foam with a soft cell inner and a full-sized, fold out target matt, which is included with the case, measuring 50-inches long and 25-inches wide.

Overall, this British-made drag bag is very well-made, well-priced and has a lot to offer. Ogden’s stand by their products, so the guarantee is excellent and If you fancied different pouches to go on those Velcro strips I am sure Ogden’s would sort you out!
