Birmingham-based Armex has recently launched a new range of leather goods for the shotgun shooter; called ‘The Buckingham Collection’, the range consists of:

The Shotgun Slip

(AXBUCKSLIP), which is 51-inches in length and made from finest quality leather. The gunslip has a flap end and zip opening and a block end for protection, matt brass fittings, a carry handle, sling and a thick soft fleece lining. Price: Around £89.99.

The Leather Cartridge Belt

GXBUCKBELT) is premium quality leather with matt brass fittings and is available in both 12- and 20-gauge and in large and extra large sizes. Price: Around £28.99.

The Aston brown

(green) (GXBUCKGAME) Canvas Game Bag has premium quality brown leather trim, two secure matt brass buckles, front mesh and a long, adjustable shoulder strap with a wide fitting sling for comfort. Price: Around £39.99.

There is also a pair of premium quality, all leather cartridge bags. The first, (GXBUCKBAG) holds Approximately 125 cartridges, is soft lined, has a bar hinged speed loader flap and quality matt brass fittings, complete with adjustable shoulder strap. Price: Around £49.99. The larger version, (GXBUCKBAGD) holds approximately 130 cartridges and includes additional capacity under the lined, bar hinged speed loader flap, this version is £50.99 I’ve been sent the larger cartridge bag and it really is very good quality. The rich, dark brown leather is very thick and all edges are bound with thinner leather for protection. The soft interior extends to the inside of the flap and the shoulder strap, which can be shortened or lengthened by using the heavy-duty, matt finished brass buckles and I can see this bag giving years of service. The bag easily swallowed three boxes of 12-bore cartridges and it’s nice to be able to keep an additional eight shells under the flap for those occasions when you might need a different load than you’re normally using. A fox appearing whilst shooting pigeons springs to mind.

If all the other items in the Buckingham range are of a similar quality (and I’m sure they will be!) then I’m sure Armex have a very impressive product range on their hands.
