Crafty Rabbit Gun Bags

I must admit that until recently the company Crafty Rabbit was an unknown quantity – that was before I’d spoken to Dan warren, MD of the company. It turns out that they sell a wide range of shooting related kit and accessories and they’re all well-priced and wellmade. Crafty Rabbit is a small, family run business based in Northamptonshire and all of their products are thoroughly tested and checked to be as hard wearing and durable as possible, to be sure that they will perform well out in the field. They sell equipment for fishing, hunting, shooting or just being in the great outdoors.

Dave and the team scour the country and the globe to find the right products at the right prices, for all levels of Interest. The main products are: gun slips, rifle slips, shotgun slips, gun bags, rifle bags, shooting accessories, snap caps, fishing rods, fishing reels, gun dog accessories, slip leads, dog collars, hunting knives, pocket knives, folding knives, bowie knives, baseball caps, camo caps and fishing accessories. Well, that’s a lot of gear and Dan has sent quite a few items for me to take a look at over the next few months.

This month, I’ll start with the three gun slips he sent.

Foldable Shotgun Slip: £20.00

This padded shotgun slip is made from olive green, hardwearing synthetic material and is 51-inches long, 8½-inches wide at the opening end and tapers down to 4½-inches at the closed end. An adjustable strap is fastened by a sturdy snap fastener that keeps the contents secure and a removable, adjustable shoulder strap is used to carry it. The slip has ‘segments’ formed by panels of stitching and this makes it easier to fold the slip when not in use. It folds up neatly, so it’s ideal for transporting from car to peg or range, then the bag can then be folded and stored away while your guns are in use or locked away in your safe. It’s a neat product that won’t break the bank.

Canvas & Leather Shotgun Slip / Shotgun Bag: £70.00

This heavy duty, quality canvas and leather gun slip is 54-inches long, and taper from 8-inches to 4-inches; it has extra thick fleece padding to protect your shotgun or rifle. The tan canvas material is trimmed with leather and has darker reinforcing strips along its length for extra strength. A heavy-duty zip, with sturdy brass pull tag, runs the entire length of the slip and there’s a handy Velcro fastened pouch on the side. A heavy-duty leather carry handle is fitted, as well as an adjustable canvas shoulder strap and leather hanging hook. The slip is very well-made and the overall look is extremely stylish.

Luxury Canvas & Leather Rifle Bag: £70.00

This attractive rifle slip/bag has an old school look about it and at 51-inches long by 11-inches wide will fit most rifles fitted with a scope. It will protect it nicely too, as the extra thick, dark brown fleece lining is well padded. Made from water repellant heavy duty tan canvas with leather trim and end protection it really looks the part! A fulllength zip is backed up by a leather flap at the bottom for extra security and it’s fastened via a strong brass buckle. This one is particularly nice!

All the above are very well made, from quality materials and I couldn’t find fault with any of them and I really looked, trust me! They all do what they are designed to do and look good into the bargain. They all feature the Crafty Rabbit logo, which is a ‘crafty rabbit’ of all things, riding on the back of a fox! I think we will be seeing more of this little fellow in the future!
