The Condor Modular Deployment Bag is a small but spacious item that’s ideal for carrying a modest amount of shooting gear or to hold something like an extensive first aid kit. For a trip to the range, where you do not need a lot of bulky items, like food or extra clothing, it is an ideal way of taking everything you need in one compact carry.
At just 12” long, 6” wide and 5.5” inches high, the bag is small on the outside but has plenty of features and loads of room inside. Externally, there are several Molle attachment points, two oversized pen holders, two large D-rings on the top and a substantial web carrying handle, which incorporates two adjustable compression straps with quick-release buckles. All of the externally accessible compartments have good quality zips with pull tabs, and they have wide openings so you can easily access the contents. On the back of the bag, there are two deep straps secured with press studs at one end, so that this bag can be attached securely to a larger backpack or your belt.
The pockets on either end of the bag are ideal for smaller items, and the medium-sized space on the front has three inner sleeved pockets for holding accessories separately and securely. The main compartment has a mesh side pocket and is large enough to hold items like ear defenders or glasses etc. and a decent amount of ammo. Overall, the amount of space this bag provides is a lot more than first impressions might suggest. The bag is supplied with a detachable shoulder strap, which attaches to the two D-rings on the top of the bag, so you can carry it hands-free.
The build quality is very good and the tough material used in the construction of the bag, combined with the substantial and ‘overdesigned’ carry handle, means it can be stuffed full of ammunition or anything else heavy and carry a lot of weight, easily and comfortably.
The compression straps built into the handle allow you to keep the gear in the bag secure and stop it rattling around but also allow very quick access to the contents. This little bag is definitely a case of less is more and it is ideal for a light and convenient carry to the range, or a walk out for a bit of pest control on the move.
The bag on test was bright red, which really stands out and is hard to lose, but it is also available in a number of other less conspicuous colours including black and green.
