Airsoft Sites: Cornwall

Airsoft Sites: Cornwall

In my old job, working in the outdoor performance sector of the clothing and gear industry, I often found myself down in Cornwall, and I have to say that it was always a pleasure to visit, although the road access still remains ‘interesting’ at times, I love heading down to those famous coves and beaches, especially ‘off season’ when the weather can be wild and wooly, to say the least!

In terms of airsoft, Cornwall is actually quite well covered, with games on offer at numerous smaller sites throughout the county. ‘Smaller, of course, doesn’t mean any less interesting, and the real community spirit engendered by airsoft is often very strong amongst a close-knit group of players, leading to some absolutely excellent gameplay, should you visit.

All too often, the smaller sites are overlooked, with players wanting to head to the MOD sites or ‘big games’ with hundreds of players taking place, but in real terms, it’s the smaller sites that are the lifeblood of airsoft, bringing new players into the game and encouraging them to get involved. Even with more experienced players having access to a ‘local’ site, where they can play on a regular basis, gives them chance to hone their skills and ‘dial in’ their RIFs and kit.

I have to say that I actually love a small site and the feeling of inclusion they usually engender, and the next time I do visit Cornwall, I believe that I’ll be packing my trusty AEG and trying out some of the sites detailed below! (Please note that all Site Limits for power are MAXIMUMS, measured using an industry standard .20g BB)

All the sites listed offer a great airsoft experience, and if you’re a new player, or someone that fancies having a go at airsoft, then they all provide hire packages that include an eye protection, an AEG with magazines and BBs. Some will provide protective clothing along with hot drinks and lunch too but check their websites for details of what is included, along with game day costs. All the sites also have busy, regularly updated Facebook and other social media pages, which include photo galleries of both the site and past games, so these are well worth a look. If there are new sites that I’ve missed, then please do feel free to contact me and I’ll endeavour to add you in a site update at a later date!
