UST Shovel

Made from pressed stainless steel some 1mm thick, the UST ‘U-Dig-It’ folding shovel (I would describe it more as a trowel myself) is a handy and practical tool that can prove useful in the woods. Fitting easily into a pocket on your pack of haversack, the trowel’s blade is approximately 134mm x 56mm x 25mm. It weighs 147g and the handle, which is made from sturdy stainless steel bar about 6mm thick, folds out to give the trowel a length of some 225mm.

The construction is simple, a bit crude in fact, but is very effective and the ‘U-Dig-It’ trowel is an effective tool for digging fire pits, toilet holes etc. and possibly has a use in descaling fish and even as a mini frying pan for the ultra-lightweight camper!
