Isuzu responds to grey demand with updated D-Max Huntsman

With recent news that grey is now the first choice for UK vehicle buyers Isuzu, the pick-up professionals, has launched its latest D-Max Huntsman variant in two new colours, in response to customer demand. The latest D-Max is offered in a wide range of colours but country pursuits enthusiasts ordering the Huntsman Accessory Pack can pick either Obsidian Grey, which replaces the older green option, or Cosmic Black, both designed to maintain a discreet presence and blend into their surroundings. Alongside the locking, aluminium gun and storage boxes in the rear, space for gundogs and crates not to mention 18in Pirelli tyres to handle tough terrain, the Huntsman model has also been de-chromed to ensure a stealthy profile. The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) has just revealed that, for the first time ever, the colour grey sits at the top of the pile, having overtaken black as the nation’s favourite vehicle colour – one in five new registrations opted for that paint choice.

Isuzu’s head of marketing, George Wallis, explained: “We have seen global demand for green pick-ups at an all-time low so, although we have now sold out of the green D-Max vehicles, we are not producing any more at present. “On the flip side, we have seen overwhelming consumer demand for grey pick-ups so, with that in mind, Obsidian Grey will become our key colour for the Huntsman.
