Do not be put off by its small size because it contains all the salient points found in much larger books, including the events which led to the outbreak of the war, through the operations and spreading of the war, concluding with the peace talks and the final end of the conflict. Its compact size makes it an ideal introduction for students who may be studying the war as part of their syllabus in modern history. In that respect, it will be an ideal present for students who can use to refer quickly to an event. Alternatively, younger re-enactors can use it for the same purpose to understand what they are depicting.
