Tour of the Bulge Battlefields

This book was first published in 2001 and reprinted in 2019, in time to mark the 75th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge. This has been compiled to present military enthusiasts with a book which will allow them to conduct a self-guided tour of the battleground which was Hitler’s ‘last throw’ against the Western Allies. Each chapter covers an area of the battleground with directions to visit important locations such as St Vith, Malmedy and Bastogne, as well as the lesser-known sites. A wealth of original and modern photographs is packed into this impressive work and the maps, including some hand-drawn at the time, are excellent. Supported with first-hand accounts, an informative text, this is an overall first-rate book to make any visit a complete experience. The book concludes with a list of military cemeteries to visit, a chronology of events and list of Medal of Honor winners, something which adds to the overall structure.
