Every now and then you find one of those products that you have been looking everywhere for but didn’t know where to find. And I had just that experience when looking for some self-adhesive numbers to mark up a scope…

Years ago, someone used to make such numbers, then we started using car body tape and indelible pens, which with my handwriting was always a dodgy prospect, or trying to use stationary type stick-on numbers, which never lasted to the end of the first rain shower. So I was delighted to find a link to Range Sports website where I could get some numbers printed specifically for the job.

What I also found was a wide range of other useful and ‘why didn’t I think of that?’ type products, including shooting mats, bean bags, carry bags and any number of other bits that any self-respecting sporting, FT or HFT shooter might need.

These self-adhesive labels are an excellent idea and perfect for marking up either the side wheel or the focus ring of a front focus scope. You get enough labels in one pack to pretty much do one of each, which is exactly what I wanted.

A separate item, for those of us who like to use a click chart is a small set of labels to mark a custom turret. Numbered from1 to 10 they should take care of most application.

The Pelletsafe, meanwhile, is a product that does exactly what it says on the tin – in fact it is a tin! We all carry pellets about, often in their supplied tins, or, if we can find them, in discarded screw top tins, or a variety of small food containers. With a positive locking lid, which is removed by pressing the very centre, thereby releasing a set of fingers that grip the tin, when you want to lock the lid of the Pelletsafe back on you just press the fingers either side of the tin and they click back into the locked position, brilliant.
