Plans to launch the British Shooting Show Liverpool next year sadly came to an end recently when the Lord Mayor of Liverpool Joe Anderson intervened, resulting in a decision to cancel the event. Liverpool City Council released a statement declaring their complete opposition to any form of hunting live animals or shooting live game, and considered it ‘barbaric in all cases’. Meanwhile the British Shooting Show Birmingham is booming as more and more exhibitors and visitors book their places for the show which takes place at the NEC, February 2020. However, plans for a second British Shooting Show in the North of England are far from over. John Allison, MD of the British Shooting Show has already started talks to secure an alternative and equally prestigious venue.
