Battle of the Brands 2019

  • Ian Hodge Fieldsports are pleased to announce the first ever Battle of the Brands event which will be held at their premises in Cornwall on Saturday 29 June 2019. Battle of the Brands gives visitors the chance to have-a-go with a variety of shotguns. Each brand has a marquee, clay trap and stand allowing manufacturers the opportunity to showcase their brands alongside their competitors. This is the first time an event like this has been held in the UK, with previous open days held by Ian Hodge Fieldsports attracting over 500 visitors from all over the country. This year, the organisers expect an even higher attendance because the event is being held over the summer. “After several very successful Open Days we thought this year we would do something different. Purchasing a new shotgun can be quite an expense and something not to be entered into lightly so we came up with this idea. It will give potential customers the chance to try a full range of guns with the added bonus of the expert sale representatives from each of the brands on hand to offer guidance and answer any questions” Ian Hodge. Visitors also have the opportunity to meet with experts from each brand, there will be food and refreshments available, a raffle and special offers on the day!

  • Best of all, the event is FREE and all donations go to Cancer Research UK. The guns, clays and cartridges have kindly been supplied by the event sponsors including Breda, Beretta, Marocchi, Benelli, Browning, Lincoln, Bettinsoli, Caesar Guerini, Winchester, Miroku and Yildiz! “Viking are delighted to support Battle of the Brands. As one of the best known gunshops in the South West, the opportunity to be involved with an exciting new concept couldn’t be missed. We would like to invite you to come and try Marocchi and Breda and support this fantastic event” Andy Norris, Sales Manager at Viking. Booking not required. Don’t forget your shotgun licence!
