BREDA STEEL PLATE CHALLENGE RETURNS TO THE NORTHERN SHOOTING SHOW

  • Viking are proud to once again bring you the Breda Steel Plate challenge in partnership with the 2019 Northern Shooting Show after an amazing response in 2018. Visitors to the show compete with a three shot semi automatic Breda B12i shotgun and have nine cartridges to knock down nine steel plates in the fastest time. Most are doing it for the first time, so it gives them a taste of practical shooting and leaves them keen to find out more about the discipline. “When we approached Viking with the concept they jumped at the chance to be involved. The Breda Steel Plate Challenge perfectly showcases Breda, a brand that has made a huge name for itself on the practical shotgun circuit. The great thing is, the times between beginners and experts are not hugely different so newcomers become keen to better their score and try again” said Paul Whitelam, Show Organiser.

  • Last year Adam Burbidge was the fastest shooter over the two days and took home a Breda B12i worth £1600. Once again there will be a Breda B12i shotgun up for grabs courtesy of Viking and all visitors to the show can enter by visiting the Breda Steel Plate Challenge stand on the clayline. The competition is expertly run by the National Target Shotgun Association, who supply the range officers and booking in staff and are happy to advise anyone interested in taking up the sport. There’s also the Viking marquee on the manufacturers demonstration area on the clayline, with the experts from Viking to advise anyone interested in the Breda shotgun with the full range available to try out. Viking also have a flagship presence in the main Gunmakers Hall 1 where they are showcasing other brands from their stable including shotguns from Marocchi, rifles from Ruger, Merkel, Haenel and Henry, optics from Meopta and Merkel and, for the first time, the new Ballistics Lab. The Ballistics Lab will provide information about their ammunition from Lapua, Magtech, Sellior and Bellot and S&K with experts available for the duration to answer your questions. The Northern Shooting Show dates are 11th/12th May and adult Early Bird show tickets are available for just £12 at www.northernshootingshow.co.uk/tickets with children getting free entry courtesy of BASC.
