Echoes of History

Echoes of History, at Purleigh Halt, Purleigh, CM9 6PF on the 10th and 11th of August 2019 between 10am and 5pm is an event not to be missed, organised by volunteers from the Essex Historic Military Vehicle Association (Essex HMVA) charity, it's an amazing opportunity to get up close and personal to historic vehicles throughout the ages and talk to the people who own them, with many living history groups depicting life throughout the ages, you could experience life on the American frontier or experience these amazing military vehicles moving around in the Vehicle Parade, or spend some time with the Chelsea Pensioners and hear about their lives.

Why not learn to Jive, or take the kids to have a go at building their own models, maybe marvel at the amazing Tigers motorcycle display team – if you are interested in flight, explore the aircraft cockpit displays, or watch the flypast from the Battle of Britain memorial flight.

You could visit the model tent and marvel at the abilities of the model makers, spend some time in the Retro fair, Collectors stalls and craft stalls where you can look for that long sought after item, or maybe you just want to stop for some food or drink and listen to our live entertainment.
