For more than 90 years, Le Chameau has been crafting and refining handmade rubber boots of a standard unparalleled anywhere in the world. Now, the brand is preparing to launch its own line of upscale country clothing. The eye-catching new range, which includes shooting jackets, country jackets, field vests, fleeces, gilets, breeks, trousers, shirts, caps and scarves in an earthy colour palette, will be officially launched at The Game Fair this July. Chief executive David Robinson explained: “Producing the best boots for so many decades has given us expertise and knowledge that is unmatched. In addition to taking what we know about our award-winning boots in terms of quality and aesthetic, we have spent two years carefully researching how the same standard of quality control can be translated to apparel. The incomparable technology blended with a unique and creative design yields a product that the countryside has not yet seen.” As with its boots, Le Chameau’s clothing will be covered with a two-year warranty to guard against manufacturing defects.
