New CZ 457 bolt-action rimfire rifle unveiled by Edgar Brothers

Iconic Czech firearms brand Česká Zbrojovelkia has unveiled a successor to the its popular 455 series rimfires with the launch of its CZ 457 bolt-action rimfire rifle. Exclusively distributed in the UK by Edgar Brothers, CZ rifles are renowned for being exceptional value for money with a quality build and are the go-to brand for those new to the sport or after a reliable .22LR rifle as a tool. The new CZ 457 family is distinguished by its highly-sophisticated modular design. In comparison with existing models and rival products, it brings considerable improvements in all key parameters, from user safety to precision. The 457 series has the quality, versatility, accuracy and straightforward operating system of the 455, but comes with a host of new features. This includes a includes a new trigger mechanism which allows the user to adjust the pull weight. Another advantage is the notably reduced turning angle of the bolt handle (30° less than previous CZ models). Thanks to this, the gun enables comfortable handling even with a riflescope as well as the ability to fit scopes with large ocular bells with lower ring heights. It also benefits from a right-side safety that disengages when pushed forward. The 457’s bolt can also be cycled when the safety is engaged. Quick-change interchangeable barrels are offered in .22 LR, .22 WMR and .17 HMR and all 457 models use M455 magazines.

Edgar Brothers is stocking the Royal, MTR and Varmint models of the 457. All models have target-quality barrels that come in a broad variety of lengths from 16 to 24 inches.
