Savage launches Model 10 with GRS stock

  • American firearm brand Savage Arms recently launched a new version of its popular Model 10 with a GRS stock. Exclusively distributed in the UK by Edgar Brothers, the new rifle features the classic Model 10 action with a GRS “beserk” stock. Made from 15 per cent fiberglass-reinforced Durethan and 65 per cent glass bedding material, the new stock is incredibly tough and durable. The newly designed stock has a slimmed down profile, while textured surfaces ensure excellent grip in any conditions. Length of pull can be adjusted, offering the perfect fit to any shooter. The Model 10 with GRS stock comes with all the top attributes of the classic Model 10, including the Savage action, button rifling and AccuTrigger, as well as a fluted heavy barrel, making it akin to a custom rifle. The barrel is hammer forged carbon steel, giving the rifle a total weight of 9.3lb, and the Model 10 comes with a 10-round detachable magazine as standard. A Picatinny rail comes as standard, allowing for flexible and easy scope mount. The GRS stock has a beavertail fore-end, with a single stud allowing a bipod to be fitted. An offset palm swell ensures comfortable and secure handling, while the adjustable cheekpiece and recoil pad mean that the rifle can be perfectly fitted to any shooter. The Savage Model 10 with GRS stock is available in .308 Win, as well as the popular long-range calibres of 6mm Creedmoor and 6.5mm Creedmoor. RRP from £1,800
