Schöffel Country still innovating after 25 years

Inspired by the technology behind Schöffel skiwear, a quarter of a century ago Schöffel Country unveiled the first incarnation of their Ptarmigan shooting coat, a classic which, not only raised the bar in the country sports clothing market, but has also stood the test of time.

As the countrywear specialist marks the landmark milestone of its iconic coat, the brand is now unveiling three new additions to the collection: the Ptarmigan Pro, the Snipe and the Rockingham.

The Ptarmigan Pro is designed specifically for the driven game Shot using the very latest three-layer laminate hunting fabric from Gore-Tex, whilst the men’s Snipe and ladies’ Rockingham coats are made using Venturi two-layer laminate, exclusive to Schöffel, with Primaloft insulation.

All three coats are designed with a stylish contemporary sport cut whilst also offering ultimate lift and freedom of movement. As with all Schöffel coats, extreme weather protection, comfort and reliability – coupled with all the features a shot could need – come as standard. In addition, a two-way stretch fabric which is 100 per cent waterproof, windproof and highly breathable will keep the wearer comfortable in all weathers.

Extremely effective in the field, the cleverly-designed coats boast reinforced bellows cartridge pockets with drainage holes, retainer straps for easy access to cartridges, micro-fleece hand warmer pockets plus two internal security pockets and removable recoil protection pad, which can be inserted into the garment on either the right or left shoulder.

The Ptarmigan Pro, Snipe and Rockingham coats are machine washable and available in a Forest Green colour.

The Ptarmigan Pro and Snipe men’s coats are available in chest sizes 34” to 54” whilst the ladies’ Rockingham is available in sizes 6 to 20.
