Social media continue their war on fieldsports

story continues below...

Fieldsports lottery platform, Tweedl, who give members of the public a chance to win blue ribband fieldsports experiences, continues to be persecuted by social media platforms Facebook and TikTok.
The Director of Tweedle, Sam Hargreaves, said: “Since Tweedl’s inception in 2020, we have experienced constant social media bans, and even though we scrutinise the platform regulations which say it’s fine to say what we were posting, our page and adverts would still get flagged and removed.
“We have had our page frozen, or content taken down 30 or 40 times on Facebook, and we are onto our third Tiktok account.”
“We no longer run Facebook advertising anymore as with the amount that adverts cost it is just too risky. Even a video of a driven line on a shooting day has no chance of staying up, and the word gun is an absolute no-go.”
