The 102nd London Antique Arms Fair

  • In 1967 a group of enthusiasts formed a committee and staged their first antique arms fair in London. Fifty-two years (and 101 fairs) later the London Antique Arms Fair, as it has become known, is still going strong.

  • For the show guide for that inaugural event the welcome written by the then Chairman Peter Dale included a paragraph in which he says: “The exhibition hall was decided upon and much effort put into organisation…If successful, it would be due to the efforts of the stalwart few. If a failure, much work will have been wasted and some money will have been lost, but not our confidence in the future of London as the centre of the Antique Arms and Armour World.”

  • The 102nd London Antique Arms Fair will be taking place on the Saturday of the forthcoming Bank Holiday weekend – 24 August – at the Hotel Ibis, Earls Court. As part of your break away from work this is an ideal opportunity to spend a long weekend searching for that elusive piece for your collection. The event regularly attracts the best of the specialist dealers in antique arms and armour from throughout Britain and continental Europe together with some of the top auction houses in attendance to showcase their forthcoming sales. If you’re planning on attending an antique arms fair in the capital then this is definitely the one to come to!
