They are also home to an ARCADA Interactive Shooting System, which is the one of most dynamic and economical virtual training systems in the world, which includes scenarios based on speed, agility and accuracy. Fireball Squadron is worthy of a mention, as it’s an airsoft site and club of 40+ members that play airsoft, themed airsoft and historical, futuristic and modern military re-enactments. As probably one of the longest-running sites and clubs of its type in the UK, Fireball was established in 1998 by Ken Elston and Mike Mansel, and has been the ‘home base’ to not only many great airsofters, but also those involved in historical re-enactment at the very highest level.

Their walk-on Woodland Games are on the first Saturday of every month, with the exception of January, when it may be the second Saturday, but you’ll also find some absolutely brilliant WWII and Nam themed games, as the site is home to the US 34th Infantry team, who have been running WWII themed airsoft games for the last few years; in 2016 they started to run the first Pacific games in the UK and maybe Europe! With ammo limits and squadbased missions, these games are a little more on the mil-sim side but are designed to be fun. Player numbers are limited, and all players must book in advance and pay a deposit, there are no ‘walk-ons’ for historic games. 2017 also saw Fireball launch a new series of ‘Star Wars’ airsoft games, which looked absolutely fabulous!

The crew at Fireball look to improve the airsoft gaming and re-enactment experience by continual investment in their site and their mix of both traditional and new games. Fireball Squadron and its members aim to promote airsoft as an accepted and recognised leisure activity through safe and fair play. Visitors are especially welcome. They have trained first aiders on site and a full Health and Safety Policy.

Site limits

Site limits are AEGs 328fps. All RIFs must be chrono’d and a current sticker placed on them before play commences.
