The RWS Pellet Saver

While most seasoned airgunners take their pellets from a tin and put them in an ammo pouch when going shooting, it can be different for those doing range practice. Honing your accuracy or finetuning your rifle zero can use up a lot of slugs and that’s why many take tins of pellets to the shooting club. Now, not all airgun pellet tins have screw-on lids and unfortunately on some with a friction-fit lid, once you peel off the seal around the edge, there is a good chance that some pellets will fall out and get damaged or dirty.

Well, the saying ‘the simplest of ideas are the best’ could have been made specifically for the RWS Pellet Saver. This round, pellet-tin-sized sheath is designed to fully encase a tin of pellets. Simply insert the tin through its flexible, yet strong, double-sided entrance. However, on one side, one of the entrances is much smaller than the other, so it stops the tin from going straight through but allows access for you to push the tin out. The tin is held securely due to the shaped design and the sizing.

The Pellet Saver is 1” thick and is manufactured from a semi-rigid plastic that forms a round cover with a diameter of approximately 2 ¾”. These dimensions make it suitable for all tins of .177 calibre pellets (500 quantity) and also some popular 200-250 pellet tins of .20 and .22 calibre.
