Razorback Range Bag

Razorback Range Bag

The ethos of Napier’s Razorback (RB) range is to take a suitable and already popular product from their roster and to up-grade materials used in manufacture and equally to improve on the original base design. Here, we have the ‘RB’ version of their popular range bag. Hardly noticeable from the ‘bag’ it’s based on, it has a heavy-duty ‘LAMTEC’ canvas outer shell, bonded to four function layers. These being a waterproof membrane, high density 10mm foam padding, EVA TOUGH SHELL and a soft ‘Syn-fleece’ lining. ARMOUR FLEX scuff panels and comfortable non-slip, rot-proof webbing shoulder straps and the superb GRIP LOCK ergonomic handles.

Stormy weather

Also, Napier’s unique ‘Weather Seal Guard’ protects zips and ensures a waterproof seal when closed. The company logo is embossed on the elongated, zip pull tags for ease of operation. The bag measures 12” x 9” x 10”, externally for extra stowage there are two 7” x 7” x 2” deep zippered side pockets.

Opening the Velcro fastened top over flap immediately reveals the main internal compartment, the flap has a useful 11” x 6” flat, zip lid pocket. The bag’s able to stand upright retaining its shape, held off the ground due to the heavily reinforced base and four ABS feet. Looking inside the main internal compartment reveals a full, bag-sized divider on the bottom that you can lay flush on the bottom or raise up to be secured centrally to create a two-tier arrangement using the two generous sized Velcro strips running along both the front and backsides. Which means that everything you take doesn’t have to be lumped in together to potentially get damaged or you having to rummage through the entire contents for an item of kit that might have fallen to the bottom.

Scuff enough!

Trimmed with rugged scuff panels, which are positioned at the front section of the top cover, and a large full section covers and surrounds the outer bottom section and comes part up all sides. The only ‘RB’ build feature it omits is the fleece lining, as the strong Nylon lining is much more suited to this luggage. For ease of transportation, it has integral strong double carry handles that secure together with the innovative GripLock handle system, plus a detachable shoulder strap with the unique ‘rubber textured’ non-slip section that adds padding for the shoulder and security when worn.

It’s roomy enough for ammo, score cards and a host of usual accessories. I’ve used this bag extensively now for a couple of years when range testing guns and for my own practice sessions, zeroing and the like. I’ve no reason to doubt that it’s undoubtedly going to carry on serving me well for many years to come.
