Zippo Heatbank 9s

Zippo’s Heatbank 9S is a rechargeable hand warmer that is ergonomically shaped to fit your hand. It also serves as a power pack that can charge any USB-compatible device, like mobile phones or cameras.

The warming function is dual-sided, with six heat settings for adjustable warmth in a variety of conditions. The lower settings are ideal for inside your pocket, while the higher settings work well when it is exposed to the outside temperature. Three small indicator lights show the heating level and they glow blue for 2-sided heat and green for 1-sided heat. The Heatbank can stay warm for up to nine hours on the lowest setting.

The amount of power the Heatbank can provide to another device depends on what you are charging, but it certainly provides enough charge to make an emergency call from your mobile phone. Briefly pressing the power button will show you the power status - three lights for a full charge and one light for a low charge, so you can manage the use of the remaining power more effectively.

The unit is not waterproof because the charging points are both open and exposed, so you do need to keep it dry. Keeping it in a plastic bag when not in use is a good idea. Heat-up takes just a couple of minutes and with no fuel or disposable batteries to worry about, this is an environmentally friendly option. A handy lanyard is included too.
