Sauer launches lightweight carbon fibre S 404 Synchro XTC

Mountain hunters need a rifle that’s lightweight, accurate and impervious to foul weather. That’s why German gunmaker Sauer has launched its highly anticipated carbon fibre thumbhole stock rifle – the S 404 Synchro XTC.

The flagship of the S 404 series, the Synchro XTC’s innovative carbon fibre stock makes the rifle super lightweight, tipping the scales at less than 6.1lb. Entirely handmade, the thumbhole stock with adjustable cheek piece is cast and sealed in synthetic resin resulting in extreme rigidity and recoil absorption.

Together with an adjustable cheek comb, the fully modular bolt-action rifle also features Sauer’s patented manual cocking system, return to zero mounts and four-position adjustable trigger.
