Sportsmatch raises the bar with extra-high 30mm picatinny mounts

Sportsmatch UK has added a new two-piece mount to its Picatinny range, designed to give shooters the clearance needed for the latest generation of large-objective thermal and night vision riflescopes.
The HTO98 mounts are built for 30mm main tubes and provide 30mm of height – enough to clear the 60mm objective lenses now common on modern thermal and night vision optics.
The mounts also address the growing use of continuous Picatinny rails running from receiver to muzzle, which demands greater elevation from any scope mount fitted along the length of the rail.
Weighing 158g, the HTO98 features a hardened-steel square section and an arrestor bolt, both intended to maintain zero under heavy recoil.
