Lee Precision has now introduced a micrometer adjustment screw for its bullet seating die. It is a feature that has been missing for far too long. The screw replaces the original adjusting screw on any Lee bullet seating die and instantly adds a controllable, recordable adjustment facility.
The very clear, laser-engraved divisions represent one thousandth of an inch, allowing you to make very fine adjustments, and the built-in friction ring keeps the screw from moving out of adjustment. As this screw does not use a ‘click’ mechanism to stop it from moving, you can actually set it between the thousandths markings and it will still hold in place, allowing even finer adjustments.
The screw is very well made, with no movement or wobble, and it takes just seconds to fit– you just back out the existing screw and replace it with the micrometer.
Being so easy to install, the micrometer screw can easily be moved between Lee bullet seating dies, but because it is so well priced, it is actually economical to get one for each die.
The screw is available in three sizes: handgun, rifle, and large-calibre rifle, and you can also now buy Lee Precision bullet seater dies complete with the new micrometer adjuster fitted.
Overall, this is a great addition to any Lee Precision bullet seater die, and it certainly represents a very useful upgrade to your existing setup.
