Whitby’s design team decided to create a series of EDC (Everyday Carry) knives that would be minimalist in design and built using high-grade materials. All the knives are supplied with high quality, 12CR27 premium stainless-steel blades, making them more durable and dependable for everyday use.
First up is the Sprint. It has a 1.75” blade, measures 2.75” closed and weighs a mere 1.37oz. It has a slabsided, anodised aluminium handle, with a lanyard ring that doubles up as a flathead screwdriver.
The Kent measures 3.5” closed, holds a 2.25” blade and weighs 1.9 – 2.8oz, depending on the wood used in the handle. The handles on this model are quite slim, with most comprising of part wood/part stainless steel, plus a lanyard hole.
The Mint is very much a larger version of the Sprint. It measures 3.75” closed, has a 2.5” blade and weighs 2.5oz. The slab-sided, anodised aluminium handle feels solid in the hold and has a removable pocket clip.
Most blades deploy using a thumb nick, with the exception of the Sprint that has an elongated thumb hole. A wise choice due to the size of the blade and the fact all featured are held securely closed until required.
All come supplied in a premium card gift box with magnetic snap fastening and are available in a variety of colours.
